GeoDesign’s Wilsonville, Oregon headquarters is hiring! We’re seeking a full-time Geotechnical Project Engineer for projects in the Portland metro area markets. The successful candidate also has the opportunity to work out of our Vancouver, Washington location.
Our company is employee-owned and provides a full range of geotechnical engineering, environmental, geological, pavement, and mining consulting services. As a part of GeoDesign, you’ll have the opportunity to manage a wide range of challenging projects, including high-rise towers, transportation infrastructure, commercial and industrial projects, and hospital and university developments.
Examples of GeoDesign’s high-profile projects in the Portland metro area include the OHSU Knight Cancer Institute at Portland’s South Waterfront; the under-construction 17-story Multnomah County Central Courthouse (also in Portland); and the recently-completed 1.6-mile-long extension of SW 124th Avenue in Washington County, which included design and construction support for several types of retaining walls, reinforced soil slopes, and a bridge. For a detailed look at some of our work, see our featured projects page.
In your role as geotechnical project engineer, you’ll be managing the complete lifecycle of each project—from overseeing the geotechnical investigation and design phase to managing our staff providing construction observation services in the field. As a part of the job, you’ll be preparing mid-level analysis and judgments for technical reports and other deliverables, while working alongside our principal engineers.
The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, organization, workload management, technical, teamwork, and quality assurance/quality control skills, and have a passion for providing exceptional client service.
