Pavement Design Projects in Eugene, Oregon, for the City of Eugene
GeoDesign has been working closely with the City of Eugene on the Eugene Pavement Preservation Project. Our role has been to provide the City with pavement rehabilitation and design information for the deteriorating city street network. To date, we have completed a total of 12 projects and are working on 13 more. We are providing falling weight deflectometer testing, subsurface explorations, and rehabilitation and design recommendations for pavement overlay and reconstruction options. GeoDesign is working closely with the City’s traffic control engineer and maintenance supervisor to provide safety-conscious traffic control during testing operations. Through close contact with our City representative, we are providing rehabilitation designs that fit the existing street geometry and will extend pavement life an additional 20 years.
