Pavement Engineer/Project Manager

GeoDesign's Portland office is seeking a talented and experienced Geotechnical Pavement Engineer to manage a variety of exciting projects with the following experience

Project Management:  Capable of independently managing projects with varied complexity including correspondence, schedules, deliverables, QA/QC, budgets, and profitability.  Must demonstrate ability to communicate effectively, prioritize multiple projects and deadlines, and perform independent problem solving on technically complex issues.

Business Development:  Experience preparing scopes and budgets for prospective projects with subsequent project management responsibilities and participating with proposal preparation (RFP responses), project meetings, client events, and interview presentations for new projects.

QA/QC Management:  Ability to ensure consistent, professional, and effective written communication; client-specific details; and error-free project deliverables.

Project Supervision:  Ability to assist and mentor project-assigned employees including on-the-job coaching, assigning project-related workload, and providing input for performance appraisals.

Prerequisites Include:

GeoDesign’s Downtown Portland, Oregon office is seeking a talented and experienced full-time Marketing Assistant. This position will also support corporate marketing activities in all five of our offices.

Key responsibilities include:

• Assistance with writing, design, and production of proposals
• Assistance with design and coordination of client/industry presentations and collateral materials
• Database maintenance
• Assistance with design and coordination of promotional activities
• Photography organization and maintenance
• Assistance with website updates
• Performance of miscellaneous administrative tasks as needed

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• Proficiency with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator or related graphic design software, as well as MS Outlook, PowerPoint, Word and Excel

• Excellent visual design, and written and verbal communication skills
• Self-motivated, flexible, enthusiastic, and client-service oriented
